Questions from the Father

The Father awakened me this morning with two questions I want to answer in today’s blog. The questions are addressed in the discussion that follows.

Question 1: Why is it important to hear His Voice?

As many of us are aware, so much is being said all around us. So many voices vie for our attention, including the news media, political candidates, commercial ads, co-workers, family members, and fellow Christians. Proverbs 4:23 instructs us to keep [our hearts] with all diligence, for out of [them] spring the issues of life. Your heart drives the direction of your life because it controls how you think and act. So it is crucial that you guard your heart, and one way to do that is to hear—and heed!—His Voice, which you must separate from all the other voices that clamor for your attention. It is definitely important to whom you lend your ears! In John 7:18a, Jesus gives us another reason for hearing His Voice: He who speaks from himself [speaking his own words] seeks his own glory. When we speak or obey God, which comes from hearing His Voice, we govern our lives according to His Will and thereby glorify Him, not ourselves. In so doing, we point others to Jesus (see also Matthew 5:16 and Romans 12:2). Otherwise, yielding to voices that counter His Voice puts us in a precarious position. Besides, as a Christian, don’t you think it makes sense that you should be hearing and heeding the Voice of God.

Question 2: What are we supposed to be hearing in particular?

In Matthew 11:15, Jesus says, He who has ears to hear, let him hear! This brings me to my second question: he who has hears to hear what, in particular? The answer is found in Revelation 2:7a: He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. In these crucial days, the Father desires that each of us hear what the Spirit of God is saying to us as individual believers and as the Church. What you hear (or don’t hear) the Spirit of God say will greatly impact your life in the coming days, months, and years. As a prophetess called to help people hear His Voice, I cannot stress enough the importance of consistently praying, reading and studying His Word, and listening for the Spirit of God, as these are simple, but needful, ways to hear His Voice. It is by applying these simple things that we can block out all the other voices vying for our attention.

Furthermore, when we hear what the Spirit say, we will avoid being deceived by the enemy who often disguises himself as light. In Matthew 7:15, Jesus warns us accordingly: Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. These are those other voices in the world. The voice of other people who are not saved, the voice of the Government, the voice of reason, the voice of fear, or the voice of uncertainty—voices designed to steal, kill and destroy (see John 10:10a). I am telling believers right now that there is so much deception in the world that if we are not in a position to hear God’s Voice, we will be deceived. However, Jesus said in John 10:27, My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And Philippians 2:13 states that God works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. We are equipped to hear and heed His voice, so let’s just do it!

There are so many scriptures where God urges His people to hear His Voice, and below are a few of those scriptures.

Proverbs 23:12 – Apply your heart to instruction, and your ears to words of knowledge.

Ezekiel 44:5 – And the Lord said to me, “Son of man, mark well, see with your eyes and hear with your ears, all that I say to you…”

Ezekiel 40:4 – And the man said to me, “Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears, and fix your mind on everything I show you; for you were brought here so that I might show them to you.”

Matthew 13:9 – He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Mark 4:9 – And He said to them, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Mark 4:23 – If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.

Mark 7:16 – If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear!

Surely by now, you are convinced that the Father wants us to hear His Voice above all other voices. In these last days, hearing Him must be our top priority, and we must learn how to hear His Voice. I encourage you to set aside time this week to hear His Voice regarding issues that concern you, such as your finances, job, church, ministry or any area where you need clear direction from God. Make sure to block out all unnecessary voices, aiming to hear His only. Jesus says, I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly (John 10:10b). We have that life through hearing His Voice.

Final Word

I just want to remind you that God has commissioned me and His Voice Ministry to wake up the Church regarding the devil’s tactics during these last days. I believe wholeheartedly that the Body of Christ, more than ever, needs a wake-up call. Therefore, I am answering my mandate from God, which is to be the watchman, to blow the trumpet, to sound the alarm loud and clear for all to hear, and to warn believers, in an attempt to keep the swords of fear, deception, and doubt from destroying lives.

God bless you, and I pray for you to continue to heed and hear His Voice!
